My newest series, that’s still in progress, is The Conception and Sensation of Time. Each image in the series is based on a dream that I actually had. What each dream is about isn’t exactly necessary for the overall concept of the body of work, however, just for you curious souls, I present to you “Dream a Day,” in which each day I show an image or 2 and tell you the crazy dream I had that inspired it.
I’m at the park, having a picnic. Something happens. I need to get away. I jump in my car and hit the gas. My car lunges over a cement ramp and into the side of a building. I’m inside. It’s a Chinese restaurant attached to a china shop. I destroyed so many things. The owner is not happy. We are singing and dancing an argument. I defend myself. She lunges at me with a broom. Things keep breaking. I am on the table, dancing while yelling my defensive songs. I am scared. Things grow darker. More people are coming at me. I leap off the table and bolt out the door. Singing continues in the background. I’m awake.
