I can’t comment on any of your technicalities. But your skeleton guy and his “mission statement” <He’s dead and obsessed with studying the secrets of the living> remind me so very much of DEATH from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. He wants to understand humans and often copies human activities but he lacks understanding (in some respects, though, he understands humans better than they understand themselves). He thus dabbles in human activities but often does things only almost right. In order to make his new human apprentice comfortable he takes the young lad to a curry place. I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU, he said, BUT I COULD MURDER A CURRY.
Thank you. This sounds so very interesting and I’m going to have to check it out.
If you’ve never read a discworld novel … you should definitely check it out. Start with one of the DEATH novels (DEATH only speaks in capital letters, it’s THE VOICE). He has an adopted daughter and thus, a granddaughter. “Mort” (the 4th novel) is a good one to start with – death is looking for an apprentice and he finds Mort. :-)
Thanks. I’ll definitely let you know what I think.
