Kenopsia 1

kenopsia
n. the eerie, forlorn atmosphere of a place that’s usually bustling with people but is now abandoned and quiet—a school hallway in the evening, an unlit office on a weekend, vacant fairgrounds—an emotional afterimage that makes it seem not just empty but hyper-empty, with a total population in the negative, who are so conspicuously absent they glow like neon signs.

-The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows

The house – a vintage, cardboard, $1 flea market find, a reflective black surface, black lighting and miscellaneous 1:12 scale dollhouse accessories.

    1. Oh no, is it notifying everyone?? I moved domains a few years ago but links weren’t updated like they were supposed to and it’s recently come to my attention.

        1. Just to be clear … I got a pingback on the Pic and a Word Challenge ~ Twilight post from four years ago. =)

Don’t sweat it. If more show up, I’ll approve them — don’t mind sharing the love to your wonderful site at every opportunity. <3

  1. This is a great one, and looks eerily beautiful! I know that feeling, and it’s weird. Didn’t know that word, though, so thanks! :)

  2. I love the series, Jennifer. The photo with the rocking horse and the one with the garden table and the blown over paper cup really got to me!
