I haven’t written a blog in who knows how long. I haven’t visited other people’s blogs, in large, for that same amount of time. I haven’t made many new toy photos, that I would consider finished work, in about that same amount of time too.
But right now, I really want to write a blog post. I told myself not to apologize on here anymore, and so I’m not, but I will give you an update on what I’ve been up to, and why I am so terribly bad at keeping up with my own blog challenge.
January of 2019 I got engaged, and thus wedding planning began. Around August I got sponsored by a resin company to make video content with their supplies (Use code TOUR20 for 20% off here :P). September/October ish, I got a commission with a documentary company to work on a proof of concept to present to a tv network. For about 2 months I worked my full time job, came home and worked full time on toy photography and videography for that commission. The proof ultimately got declined which stung, but did free up my life slightly again, and I’m planning on sharing that content with you once the documentary gets released. Then came holidays, birthdays, etc.
Just over a week ago I started a new job at a local toy company I’ve had my eye on for a couple of years now. With my old job I traveled to train a new employee on my second to last week and then had to tie up loose ends in the final week. And in 6 days I’m getting married.
I do have ideas for posts, have some vaguely written out (I hand write most blog posts, or at least take notes for them before I type them), I also have 3 videos filmed and unedited, and numerous unmade or partialy made photo plans.
I’m trying to give myself time though, and my brain space, and just breath a bit. I’m so good at feeling guilty, and I hate letting people down, but I have to remember I’m human, with only a certain amount of energy, so I think at least until after the wedding I’m going to take it one day at a time, and hopefully that will allow me to come back full force in April at least.
