I got home a bit early from work one day this month, and per my cats insistence, went out to my apartment balcony. It was just before sunset, the photography golden hour, and the light was so beautiful. When we came in and sat on the couch, there was a ray of light perfectly illuminating an area of the already golden blanket.
I had just given an artist lecture, where I’d brought examples of items used in my images. I hadn’t put those items away yet, so they were in reach. I grabbed the 2 that you see pictured below and photographed them with my phone. I’d been in very much a photo-making funk the whole of November, so it was nice to just play with light from the comfort of my couch.
