Dog Man

In continuing on with the spooky/Fall theme I’ll be sharing more Halloween-y images this month. Other than posting daily here, I also shared images using the Creepy TopicGenerator and posted on instagram in the#mabsdrawlloweenclub. So we continue, daily, never-before-shared on this platform spooky images. Hope you enjoy. If you play along, keep tagging #jhc and leave your link below.

Day 3 – November 5 – Dog Man

Behind the scenes/scale:

In the Depths – Part 1

Images inspired by the story Please Avoid Open Water by reddit user thestygiandepths.

To read the story for yourself:

“Always one at a time, always a different shape. And they were always completely alone.”

Creature: The Escape

An experiment escapes from the lab into the back alleyway.

To make this creature, I softened the legs (using a lighter) of an HO scale figure to bend them. Then I attached limbs (by melting them together) from other figures to make the long tentacle-like limbs you see here. I made the spikes out of air dry clay, then painted the whole figure with a pale-ish pink.

The alleyway is made from painted HO scale metal junk pieces, cardboard walls, the backside of a Christmas village walkway (creating the dusty and shiny water-like effect on the roadway), a painted HO scale door and floral foam.
