Welcome to the sixth week of the Weekly Weather challenge. I can’t believe it’s already been a month and a half. Can you? Thank you to each of you who are joining in weekly. I’ve very much enjoyed your contributions.
Every Saturday I’ll post a new blog with the weather-based topic for that week. Post your contribution (poem, photo, illustration, story, or any other artistic vision) to your blog and share your link in a comment or pingback to that week’s topic post here. Make sure to tag your post #weeklyweather so that others can find your post in their reader. Have fun!
**This challenge alternates with Color your World and will therefore run May through December, taking a break January through April.

We recently had a hurricane here. Hurricane Hermine. While it hit further South of us quite hard, we, thankfully only got a bit of rain. I was thankful for the extra day off work the inclement weather provided and used the time to start building a dollhouse. I’m quite grateful we didn’t even lose power, but as I said, some places were much worse off.

We headed towards a safe harbor, the sight wasn’t so pleasant… I don’t remember how I had the guts to take my camera: https://geriatrixfotogallerie.wordpress.com/2016/09/11/the-eye-of-the-storm/
I’m not sure either, but I’m so glad you did.
We just had rain from Hermine – my mom lost a few large branches in her trees – only the fence damaged – so we did well. Here’s my Hurricane! https://orangemarmeladepress.wordpress.com/2016/09/10/weekly-weather-hurricane/
Good. I’m glad there wasn’t too much damage.
