I concluded work on my Illuminance series in 2022. While I began some images in this thread in 2021, post my focus on gold I went full force into what I then called my “Anatomy” series. The title has changed over time, now being called “Diagnostic Codes.” Full force is an interesting way to phrase that however as I barely created an images for this series over those 3 plus years.
From 4 images in 2021, 3 images in 2022 and another 3 in 2025, I’ve created, and reworked and purchased more props, and made more sets, and brain stormed, and noted, and well that’s it. I wouldn’t put any of these pieces as they currently stand in a publication or gallery show. A couple of the ones from 2021 could serve as good stock imagery for a medical journal or something of the sort, but nothing I’ve made thus far for this series has felt right.
Yes, I’ve had plenty of distractions, and I won’t belabor the point in this post, but I feel like I’m getting closer to something. These past few years have been such a huge departure from my regular creating and posting here and I want to settle back into all of it.
I bought a light table off amazon and have been telling myself and others that this will be what’s been missing in this series. A delusional though? Maybe. But there has to be some of those to make precisely what’s in my head come to life.
