We listen to Spotify at work and every few songs for the past week there was a Walmart ad talking about the big toy catalog release on November 2. You could go to Walmart, get a physical copy of the new toy catalog and test new toys from noon to 4. So I went to Walmart on November 2. I went to 2 Walmarts on November 2. And then I gave up. No toy catalog (although I’m told they should have it in the coming week or so) and no toys to test (although I hadn’t planned on doing any testing myself).
I also couldn’t find anything online about local events, so who knows what I heard on the radio, or thought I heard.
You can however, find a list of the top rated toys here – Top Rated by Kids.
And a scan of the toy catalog here.
As soon as I’m able to get my hands on a copy I’ll update this post with a page by page flip through.
I’ve been very distracted by moving, a commission, and a resin sponsorship at the moment. All good things, just time consuming. So I haven’t been thinking specifically about my own art. But I had pegged a few things I wanted before all of this began. Overall though, packing and unpacking really put you in a mood of unwant.
Are you preparing for the holiday season already? What do you plan to buy yourself and others?
Do you have any interest on me continuing to announce toy catalogs and events throughout the year?
Let me know in a comment below.
I am in the same state as you, about to start the whole packing and unpacking for moving so Christmas shopping is likely to be done online. I do like hearing what new toys are coming out for Christmas even though we probably won’t see them in Australia this year.
